Explore every inch of The Cidonia Mensae Region in super high detail with the largest amount of scientific quality image data complete with scientific documentation found anywhere in the world. This CD is a complete systematic search of the Cidonia Mensae with the ability to select images by your choice of coordinates and alitudes.
Explore the immediate area around the Marsface with 300-1000 km image data. This altitude range represents the highest resolution imagery the Viking Orbiters obtained. This altitude range has resolutions equal to 7 meters for every pixel on your screen. (This is approaching the resolutions capable of the Mars Observer)
See the Marsface with 4 renderings created using Digital Elevation Models. This allows you to see the Marsface from the vantage point of standing on the surface. See excellant interpolations of the Marsface and local area increasing the vertical scale bringing out slight details you might otherwise miss. The CD also has many nice enhancements of the indiviual artifacts surrounding the Marsface. Included are many full resolution images of potential artifacts claimed by other people. You decide for yourself.
The paper and photographic equivalent of this CD Database would be about 1000 different high quality 17X17 photograhs and about 350 photos of various smaller sizes and over 300 pages of printed matter.
There are over 750 high resolution, 1204x1056 images of The Cidonia Mensae Region alone marked with longitude and latitude, sun angle, spacecraft camera look angle, type of filter used, altitude, and class of image (pertaining to NASAs qualitative analysis of the Viking Orbiter Data). 17 different images from various altitudes showing either the Marsface or the area by coordinates of the Marsface.
Images are broken down into 5000 KM altitude ranges allowing you to view the surface from various altitudes of your choice. In addition, each image has a text file containing more info such as Martian time when the image was taken, Earth recieved time, exposure duration, high or low gain antenna setting and more.
The images are saved in a user friendly self-extracting compressed .TIF format and ready to be used with your favorite image processing software.(2 excellant shareware programs for Windows included on the CD). Do zooming, cut and pastes, subsampling or resizing, contrast enhancements, edge enhancements, sharpening, embossing, make wallpaper and whatever you want to do.
You no longer need specialized and expensive software programs to be able to view full resolution scientific quality NASA image data.(The same image data NASA scientists use to study geological formations).
